A Zebra for Christmas

So I alluded to one of my favorite gifts Hubs and I gave this Christmas yesterday so I thought I'd share what that was today.

Clearly the little niece loves to help out in the kitchen:

Almost every time she comes over she asks what we're going to bake and as soon as we start she grabs her little stool and asks for her apron.

So this Christmas I really wanted to give her something that would encourage her love of baking and represent her stylish skills. Her 'big' gift was an easy bake oven. Great gift and she's super excited about it but that wasn't the gift I wanted to share with you...

She has this owl apron that I picked up in the $1 bin at target because I had gotten the nephew a treat and well, you can't get something for one and not the other. So she has this little pink owl apron:

Cute enough but it's not really up to par representing her growing skills in the kitchen. So this year I got her her very own baking tools...

and...

a customized ruffled zebra apron!

I searched online for days but couldn't find exactly what I wanted so I ended up DIY-ing it with a sparkly "R" {for her name}, some pearls and a blue ribbon. She was SO excited and immediately said,

"can we bake something now?"

God I love this kid.
